A team led by Heidelberg-based partner Dr Jens Uwe Rügenhagen provided the Danish headquartered agency group Spring CC, which is part of the Spring Family, with comprehensive legal advice on its acquisition of the Hamburg-based design agency Hajok. Founded in 1997 by Klaus Hajok, the agency specialises in packaging design and serves a diverse client base across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
The acquisition marks a further step in Spring CC’s strategy to build integrated creative capacities across Europe, the UK and Asia, and will strengthen the company’s specialisation in packaging design in particular. The addition of 46 new employees from Hajok will enable Spring CC to further scale its production, campaign development and market adaptation services. Following the merger, the Spring Family will have around 500 employees, with more than 300 working at Spring CC alone. Klaus Hajok will continue as managing director for a transition period to ensure continuity for both clients and employees.
The GSK Stockmann team provided Spring CC with comprehensive legal advice on the transaction, in line with the firm’s distinctive 360-degree advisory approach.
