GSK Stockmann provided comprehensive advice to Mellum Capital GmbH on the sale of its real estate capital advisory business to Houlihan Lokey, a leading global investment bank. The transaction strengthens Houlihan Lokey’s capital solutions capabilities in Europe and significantly deepens its real estate advisory offering globally across the firm.
Mellum Capital advises financial institutions, investors and corporates in the real estate sector on equity investments, debt placements, structured finance, liability management and strategic advisory. Founded in 2021 as a spin-out from Brookfield Financial, the firm has built a strong reputation for delivering bespoke, high-quality advice to a diverse global client base from its offices in Munich and London.
As part of the acquisition, the founding partners Heinrich Hauss and Markus Reule will join Houlihan Lokey as Managing Directors and will lead the real estate capital advisory offering in Europe. In total, eleven Mellum Capital professionals will become part of Houlihan Lokey’s Capital Solutions Group.
The activities of the real estate brokerage subsidiary Mellum Real Estate GmbH are not part of the transaction.
