Same procedure as every year – the German non-governmental organisation Transparency International (TI) published the 31st edition of the latest Corruption Perceptions Index (CPI) for 2025 on 10 February 2025, this time covering a total of 182 countries.
Germany has managed to re-enter the top ten, while Denmark continues to take pole position for the eighth time in a row. Nevertheless, the most recent edition of the TI CPI does not provide any reason to celebrate in times of ongoing uncertainty and political turmoil – which is reflected by worsening average scores on a global scale.
As usual, companies operating internationally need to incorporate the latest TI CPI findings into their compliance management systems (“CMS”).
