Lawyer and tax adviser Stefan Schmidt is Of Counsel at our Frankfurt office and brings more than three decades of experience in German and international corporate and fund tax law. During his twenty years as a tax partner in the financial services sector, he advised on numerous complex cases. He also led the real estate taxation division at a Big Four audit firm before taking over responsibility for the entire real estate division in Germany.

Stefan specialises in advising on real estate funds, cross-border real estate investments and indirect investments in real estate. He has an extensive network within the investment industry and maintains close relationships with decision-makers at capital management companies. Stefan is also well versed in corporate, accounting and investment tax law and is a highly sought-after adviser on special tax issues relating to real estate investments and fund structures.
