The corporate law firm has strengthened its tax law and funds practice with the addition of Stefan Schmidt as Of Counsel as of 1 June 2023.
Stefan Schmidt is a lawyer and tax adviser with more than thirty years of experience in corporate and fund tax law. Starting in 2010, he headed up KPMG Germany’s real estate tax department before being appointed head of the accounting firm’s entire Real Estate division.
Schmidt’s expertise is firmly rooted in the investment industry, with a particular focus on real estate funds and cross-border real estate investments. He also brings a broad network of contacts, which particularly includes decision-makers at asset management companies, and has first-rate expertise in corporate, accounting and investment tax law.
