GSK Stockmann advises Pictet Alternative Advisors and Scantum DW on acquisition of logistics property in Kerpen

GSK Stockmann provided legal advice to Pictet Alternative Advisors and Scantum DW on the acquisition of a 22,000-square-metre logistics property in Kerpen.

The property is strategically located in the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region, offering immediate access to major motorways (A4, A1, A61) and nearby Cologne. Kerpen is also close to Cologne/Bonn Airport, as well as major ports such as Rotterdam and Antwerp.

The seller, LyondellBasell, will continue to use the existing warehouse at Hüttenstraße 122–124 until the end of the year. Once the current user has moved out, the existing property will be demolished to make way for a new, state-of-the-art logistics facility. The project is scheduled for completion in early 2028.

This acquisition is the latest step in the expansion of the joint venture’s platform strategy, which focuses on flexible new logistics facilities in prime locations across Germany and will comprise two warehouses with a total of 35,000 square metres once completed. In 2025, Pictet and Scantum jointly acquired a property in Hochheim am Main.

GSK Stockmann advised Pictet and Scantum on all legal aspects of the transaction.
