The EU AI Act, which is expected to come into force in June 2024, is the first comprehensive legal framework to regulate the development and use of artificial intelligence systems in the EU. The Conference of Independent Data Protection Authorities in Germany has published an initial guidance on “Artificial intelligence and data protection” containing advice in particular for deployers of AI systems.
