Self-driving vehicles will fundamentally change the way we get around. The use of autonomous self-driving vehicles opens up opportunities and advantages in terms of road safety, mobility, environmental protection and sustainability. Passed in 2021, the Act on Automated Driving provided the first legal framework in Germany for the regular operation of self-driving vehicles in defined operating areas on public roads. This makes Germany the first country in the world to bring driverless vehicles out of the realm of research and into everyday use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
