Rechtsanwältin Dr. Nina Leonard

GSK Stockmann welcomes renowned M&A expert Dr Nina Leonard to its Corporate practice

Starting on 3 July 2026, Nina Leonard will be joining GSK Stockmann, bringing valuable expertise in the data centre, battery storage and life sciences/pharmaceuticals sectors.

In line with its strategy to expand its Corporate practice, GSK Stockmann has appointed Nina Leonard, a certified specialist in commercial and company law, as a new Equity Partner at the firm’s Munich office, effective from 3 July 2026. She joins the firm from Addleshaw Goddard, where her work focused on M&A and corporate law.

Nina Leonard has over 24 years of experience in M&A advisory and specialises in complex, cross-border transactions. She has particular expertise in the data centre, battery storage, digital infrastructure and technology sectors. Her other areas of focus are the energy and life sciences/pharmaceuticals sectors – both areas in which GSK Stockmann is looking to expand strategically. Her expertise also extends to joint ventures and conflict and stakeholder management, particularly in the context of shareholder and post-M&A disputes.

Alongside her legal expertise, Nina Leonard brings an entrepreneurial mindset and a wealth of experience in expanding law firms. For example, she successfully helped lead an international law firm’s entry into the German market as a founding partner, demonstrating her ability to cultivate lasting client relationships and teams. Her international background, including stints in London, Chicago and Beijing, as well as her many years of experience working with a British commercial law firm, makes her an ideal liaison for GSK Stockmann’s London office.

Nina Leonard also has an outstanding academic track record, having co-edited and co-authored the leading commentary on the German Transformation Act (Semler/Stengel/Leonard, UmwG, currently in its sixth edition, C.H. Beck 2025) and published numerous academic articles on commercial and company law.

Nina Leonard’s appointment is the latest in a series of strategic lateral hires at GSK Stockmann over the past two years, the most recent being Per Meyerdierks (data protection and technology), Dr Simon Spangler (antitrust) and Dr Bernd Graßl (stock corporation and capital markets law, corporate litigation and dispute resolution).

Dr Katy Ritzmann, Head of Corporate at GSK Stockmann, comments: “Nina Leonard combines first-class M&A expertise with in-depth industry knowledge in key growth sectors, which complements the expertise of our colleagues working on projects in these areas perfectly. At the same time, her international network is a real asset for our cross-border advisory services. We are delighted to have her on board.”

Nina Leonard adds: “GSK Stockmann combines an entrepreneurial approach with outstanding legal advice across all the practice areas relevant to my work. This creates an ideal environment for providing clients with strategic support. I am very much looking forward to building on these strengths together with the team.”
