GSK Stockmann advised Medicover on the acquisition of the IFLB Group during the insolvency proceedings of its shareholder
Medicover, headquartered in Sweden, was founded in 1995 and is now a leading international healthcare and diagnostics company. Medicover operates numerous outpatient and inpatient medical facilities. In 2022, Medicover generated sales of EUR 1,510 million and employed more than 44,000 staff worldwide. The parent company Medicover AB has been listed on the Stockholm stock exchange since 2017.
The IFLB Group operates several medical centres in Berlin and has around 150 employees. Medicover acquired the IFLB Group during the insolvency proceedings of IFLB’s previous shareholder the Warnow-Klinik from the insolvency administrator, Ulrike Hoge-Peters. The Warnow-Klinik in Bützow was forced to file for insolvency at the end of July 2023. The sale ensures the continued operation of the medical centres.
